ReCaribe is an alliance of individuals, organizations, representatives of industry and governments dedicated to improving solid waste management practices through education and the use and adaption of appropriate technology and methodology in the Wider Caribbean region.

Objectives include:

• to facilitate the sharing of information and the transfer of technology in dealing with solid waste management problems in the wider Caribbean region,
• to promote public and private partnerships in developing solid waste management projects,
• to develop a network for collaboration and coordination in the planning and implementation
• and to provide expert consultancy services in solid waste management, especially in such areas as public education, personnel training and conference coordination.
