Kayaking on the Chesapeake Bay is a wonderful way to see the Calvert County shoreline. Go places larger boats can't and see beaches and homes in the comfort of one of our kayaks.

For several years customers have asked where they could rent a kayak. Up until now guests would have to travel to Solomons, or beyond, to find a kayak. Beginning in 2012, The Cottages of Governors Run will offer kayaks for daily and weekly rentals.

We offer single-passenger kayaks for only $125 for a seven-day period. If you'd like to rent two, the second kayak is only an additional $75 for the week.

The price includes personal floation vest and kayak paddle but does not include a refundable security deposit.

While you can reserve a kayak or two when your cottage rental arrangements are made, we're flexible and the rental can be made after your arrival.
