Welcome to The Cottages of Governors Run - host of several privately owned Chesapeake Bay vacation rentals. We hope that you are visiting this site seeking a quiet and relaxing get away to a nice bay cottage. Located just 14 miles north of the historic seaport of Solomons Island and 45 minutes south of Annapolis, Maryland’s capital, The Cottages of Governors Run take you back to quiet and pleasant times of days gone by.
If you enjoy swimming in calm bay waters, listening to the waves of the beach, relaxing in the sun, fishing from the 400 foot private community pier, grilling on the beach, walking miles and miles on the beach while searching for fossil sharks teeth, or wandering through our peaceful southern Maryland community, you’ve found your next vacation cottage.
Build a sand castle, float on an inner tube or watch the shoreline change with the tides. Pack a picnic and take a walk on our miles of natural beach. Explore the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay while soaking in the sun and salt air. Privacy, simplicity, and relaxation await you and your family.
While each cottage is unique, both in size, design and appointments, each bay cottage reflects the individualism of its' owner. We take great pride in matching your needs with our accommodations. We want you to be happy and return year after year.

We currently rent three private cottages. Two are waterfront, just steps from the private community beach, sitting on a 20 foot bluff above the Chesapeake Bay.
